This study adopts an analytical and futures-oriented approach to examine the capacity of Shi‘a Mahdism for interpreting the future of global order. The article is based on the assumption that Shi‘a Mahdism is not merely a theological or eschatological doctrine, but also a civilizational and normative framework for understanding the future of history, global justice, and human transformation. Accordingly, the theoretical foundations of futures studies, scenario building, and global order are first discussed, followed by an analysis of major global trends shaping the future, including the globalization of risk, networked power, the crisis of modernity, the return of religion, and identity transformations. The findings indicate that Shi‘a Mahdism, through its emphasis on universal justice, divine guidance, active expectation, and righteous global governance, provides an alternative framework for criticizing the existing order and imagining a more spiritual and just future. The study also analyzes four major scenarios: the continuation of domination, multipolar order, spiritual transition, and the realization of a Mahdist global order. The results demonstrate that the preferable future in Mahdist thought is one in which justice, spirituality, rationality, and human dignity are realized on a global scale, and humanity is liberated from oppressive and unjust structures. جهان معاصر در آستانه تحولات عمیق سیاسی، فرهنگی، فناورانه و تمدنی قرار گرفته و بحران‌هایی همچون افول مشروعیت نظم لیبرال، گسترش نابرابری جهانی، بحران معنا، ناامنی زیست‌محیطی و بازگشت هویت‌های دینی، مسئله آینده جهان را به یکی از مهم‌ترین موضوعات علوم انسانی و مطالعات آینده‌پژوهی تبدیل کرده است. پژوهش حاضر با رویکردی تحلیلی و آینده‌پژوهانه، به بررسی ظرفیت‌های مهدویت شیعی برای تبیین آینده نظم جهانی می‌پردازد. این مطالعه بر این فرض استوار است که مهدویت شیعی صرفاً یک آموزه کلامی یا آخرالزمانی نیست، بلکه چارچوبی تمدنی و هنجاری برای فهم آینده تاریخ، عدالت جهانی و تحول انسان به شمار می‌آید. در این راستا، ابتدا مبانی نظری آینده‌پژوهی، سناریونویسی و نظم جهانی بررسی شد و سپس مهم‌ترین روندهای مؤثر بر آینده جهان، از جمله جهانی‌شدن ریسک، شبکه‌ای‌شدن قدرت، بحران مدرنیته، بازگشت دین و تحولات هویتی تحلیل گردید. یافته‌های پژوهش نشان می‌دهد که مهدویت شیعی با تأکید بر عدالت فراگیر، هدایت الهی، انتظار فعال و حکومت جهانی صالح، می‌تواند الگویی بدیل برای نقد نظم موجود و تصور آینده‌ای معنوی‌تر و عادلانه‌تر ارائه دهد. همچنین چهار سناریوی اصلی شامل تداوم نظم سلطه، نظم چندقطبی، گذار معنوی و تحقق نظم جهانی مهدوی مورد تحلیل قرار گرفت. نتایج نشان می‌دهد که آینده مطلوب در اندیشه مهدوی، آینده‌ای است که در آن عدالت، معنویت، عقلانیت و کرامت انسانی در سطح جهانی تحقق می‌یابد و انسان از سلطه ساختارهای ناعادلانه رهایی پیدا می‌کند.
