Examining the factors involved in the stagnation or flourishing of the new Islamic civilization is essential for restoring the trajectory of Islamic civilizational revival and for analyzing the function of Takfiri movements and their role in the decline of the new Islamic civilization. Using an analytical–critical approach, the present study investigates the impact of Takfiri movements on the new Islamic civilization. The findings indicate that Takfiri movements, through the rejection of rationality and ijtihad and by presenting extremist, literalist, and superficial interpretations of religious texts, have weakened the unity of the Islamic Ummah and the social capital of Muslims, destroyed cultural heritage, negated interfaith and inter-sectarian dialogue, reduced religious tolerance, coexistence, and convergence, and contributed to the spread of Islamophobia. Consequently, these movements have generated serious challenges and damages in the path toward the advancement of the new Islamic civilization. In the final section of this article, several strategies are proposed for confronting religious extremism and reviving the new Islamic civilization.</p> <p class="a" dir="RTL"><span lang="AR-SA" style="font-size: 10.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'B Zar';">تمدن اسلامی، به‌عنوان یکی از مهم‌ترین نمودهای شکوفایی فکری، فرهنگی و سیاسی در تاریخ بشر، از قرون اولیۀ اسلام رشد چشمگیری داشت؛ اما این رشد در مقاطع گوناگون با فرازوفرودهای متعددی مواجه گردید. بررسی عوامل دخیل در رکود یا شکوفایی تمدن نوین اسلامی، برای قرار گرفتن در مسیر احیای مجدد تمدن اسلامی و بررسی کارکرد جریان‌های تکفیری و نقش آن در افول تمدن نوین اسلامی، ضروری است. این پژوهش به شیوۀ تحلیلی ـ انتقادی، به بررسی تأثیر‌ جریان‌های تکفیری بر تمدن نوین اسلامی می‌پردازد . یافته‌ها حاکی از آن است که جریان‌های تکفیری با انکار عقلانیت و اجتهاد و ارائه تفسیرهای افراطی، ظاهرگرا و سطحی از نصوص دینی، موجب تضعیف وحدت امت اسلامی و سرمایۀ اجتماعی مسلمانان، تخریب میراث فرهنگی، نفی گفت‌وگوی بین‌مذهبی، کاهش مدارای دینی و همزیستی و همگرائی و ایجاد اسلام‌هراسی شده‌اند؛ در نتیجه، چالش‌ها و آسیب‌های جدی در مسیر پیشرفت تمدن نوین اسلامی ایجاد کرده‌اند. در پایان این نوشتار، راهکارهایی برای مقابله با افراط‌گرایی مذهبی و احیای تمدن نوین اسلامی ارائه شده است.</span></p> https://www.journalspe.com/index.php/spe/article/download/164/90
