<p>The present study aims to comparatively examine the mystical foundations of Madame Blavatsky’s Theosophy and Islamic mysticism, focusing on four principal domains: ontology, anthropology, epistemology, and the mystical path. The study employs a descriptive–analytical method based on library research. The findings indicate that the two traditions share certain similarities, including the acknowledgment of dimensions beyond the sensible world, the significance of inner experience, the possibility of human spiritual transformation, the existence of hierarchical levels of being, and the necessity of progressing from an initial state toward a higher state. Nevertheless, fundamental differences are evident in the underlying foundations of these concepts. In its ontology, Theosophy emphasizes Absolute Reality, cosmic hierarchies, karma and reincarnation, and the relationship between human beings, cosmic forces, and higher beings. Islamic mysticism, by contrast, explains existence in relation to Divine Unity, the manifestation of the Divine Names and Attributes, and the relationship between God and the world, while affirming resurrection and the afterlife rather than a cycle of reincarnation. In the domain of anthropology, the Theosophical conception of the Perfect Human refers to a cosmic and experiential being whose perfection is associated with harmony with higher levels of existence and cosmic forces, whereas the Perfect Human in Islamic mysticism is defined in terms of wilāyah (spiritual authority), Divine vicegerency, purification of the self, and proximity to God. In epistemology, Theosophy emphasizes illumination, esoteric knowledge, personal experience, and communication with higher beings, whereas Islamic mysticism regards unveiling and mystical intuition as valid when they are grounded in revelation, Sharia, ethics, and spiritual purification. Moreover, the Theosophical path is predominantly personal and based on practices adapted to the individual’s capacities, while the Islamic mystical path is organized within the framework of Sharia, ṭarīqah (the spiritual path), and ḥaqīqah (ultimate truth), under the guidance of a spiritual master. Therefore, although the two traditions exhibit certain similarities at the level of mystical experience and discourse, their fundamental differences preclude the classification of Theosophy within the framework of Islamic mysticism.</p>
